BendPak has designed the HDS-27 to be the four-post lift for you that can handle a 27,000 lb., Class 7 semi-truck. Sporting bigger sheaves and beefier components, this lift will deliver the dependability you’ll need to service commercial and/or municipal vehicles. If you already service those kinds of vehicles, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not utilizing the HDS-27.

Overview
Construction, Municipal and Commercial Vehicles Welcome
Despite being an entry-level lift in the medium-duty truck category, the HDS-27 is perfectly suited to take on your business well beyond the needs of most private drivers. This garage lift will bring you into the realm of construction equipment, commercial flatbed trucks, concrete mixers, garbage trucks, buses, and more.
Each BendPak four-post lift is made to exacting standards and will get the job done without undue strain or pain on the equipment. The lift is rated at 27,000 lbs. meaning everything at or under that weight limit is no problem at all. BendPak has over-engineered everything, so you can keep massive commercial and municipal vehicles up to code and ready for the next great haul.
Extended runways
By having longer runways, the HDS-27 is able to accommodate a wide variety of vehicle wheelbases, allowing you to steer massive trucks and buses onto their ramps without accidentally damaging your vehicle chassis.
Dual-hub cable sheaves
BendPak goes the extra mile to make sure you’re getting the best product possible. Each sheave contained within the runway and cross tubes is a massive 12” in diameter, and the cable sheave axles, at 4” in diameter, will greatly extend the lifespan of your lift by reducing the overall wear that is put onto these parts. Manufacturing sheave components are made big to ensure high-grade quality in the product. BendPak parts always meet or exceed ALI standards for load bearing and safety.
Heavy-duty aircraft cable
Each of the four, ½” diameter, 6 x 25 galvanized lifting cables has a 14,000 lb. breaking strength, so you can rest assured that HDS-27 will have the engineering to keep your vehicles safe at all times, especially during periods of heavy use. These won’t rust out or break apart due to bad weather, chemicals, or random garage particulate.
Built-in lubrication
The HDS-27 has grease nipples fitted into the sheaves and sheave axles. These will keep those components lubricated as they move. This feature also acts as a form of auto-maintenance, meaning that you’ll have little to do during your periodic service checks.
Flow restrictor
The HDS-27 provides top-of-the-line hydraulic technology. Integrated into the hydraulic cylinder is a flow restrictor which will provide a safe, slow descent. It will even do so in the extremely rare occurrence of a burst or ruptured hydraulic hose.
Large base plates
This high-quality lift includes substantial 12” x 12” base plates which support the massive columns.
Spring-loaded safety locks
As the HDS-27 rises, spring-loaded safety locks will engage the moving platforms. Safety ladders come standard and can be adjusted to make sure the runways stay level, which is especially useful for sloped floors.
Push-button pneumatic lock release
The steel and aluminum pneumatic cylinders are aircraft-quality and certified to last for years without sacrifice. One push against the pneumatic lock release is all you need to lower the lift release off the locks. BendPak continues to find more ways to give your technicians more control over lift operations.
Secondary lock system
Why have one lock when you can have two? A secondary slack-cable lock will engage in case of cable failure, which is extremely unlikely to ever occur. Better safe than sorry though. With this feature your lift will keep working at its best.
Integrated design
The cables, sheaves, axles, and other components are internally routed through the lift. The hydraulic cylinder itself is hidden underneath the lift. This design choice not only makes sure that the lift retains its sleek look, but it also makes sure that your lift is as safe as possible. The cables and sheaves will perform better when they’re not exposed to outside factors like dirt, grime, and anything else that could negatively affect performance.
Adjustable height locking positions
Four-post lifts are made to be able to accommodate many different vehicle types, so BendPak has made sure that it is easy to adjust the height to suit the needs of your technician and safely lock your vehicle into place.
Electric-hydraulic power system
BendPak has designed their car lifts to have their operator buttons within reach, giving you the option to raise, lower, or shut down the system at any time. The whole process will go much more smoothly with one-push controls.
Flexible protective conduit
BendPak has had their cables fitted with a protective casing which is flexible and non-conducive to electricity. Your hoses will remain intact and serviceable for many years without sacrifice, and the non-metallic tubing will ensure that you’re never shocked by the equipment.
Rolling bridge jacks
By utilizing bridge jacks you’ll be able to raise the wheels above the runways, which will let operators perform wheel and brake service on the car. The HDS-27 can support extremely heavy vehicles, making the truck and SUV adapter set a necessity for wheel/brake service. Commercial-grade hydraulic pumps come standard and require 125 PSI and 10-20 CFM.
Choose extended length
Some vehicles at the 27,000 lb. lift capacity can begin to develop monstrous proportions. For example, garage trucks are wide, tall, and feature wide wheelbases. You’ll need a car lift which will be able to handle all those dimensions, plus the weight, without giving out on you. In those scenarios, the HDS-27X might be the better option for your shop. If you ever have any questions about finding your ideal lift, feel free to reach out to a BendPak service representative to help you find the perfect four-post lift for you.
